Job Summary
As a Materials and Process Surface Technology Engineer, you will lead and manage technology, development, and qualification projects focused on surface technologies, functional coatings, and corrosion protection. Your daily tasks will involve overseeing test campaigns from planning to reporting, preparing critical material and process specifications, and supporting obsolescence management and environmental compliance initiatives. You will also provide expert consultation on design, stress, quality, and manufacturing for material-related inquiries, assess deviation requests, and collaborate with external institutes and material suppliers. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in materials science and aerospace, seeking a permanent position within a dynamic consulting environment that values innovation and collaboration.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or diploma in Chemistry, Aerospace, or Materials Science
Experience
- Professional experience in surface and coatings technologies as well as corrosion protection
- Experience in the aerospace industry and related processes such as qualification, certification, and standardization
Languages
Additional
- Driving license (Class B/3 at least) for business trips within Germany and Europe (approx. 2 days every 2 months)
