Job Summary

The Facilities Superintendent will lead a team and contractors, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities and plant systems. This role involves significant hands-on technical work across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning and execution, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives. They will also enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, respond to emergencies, and ensure effective communication across teams. This position offers a dynamic environment for a skilled professional to apply their technical expertise and leadership abilities in a critical operational role.

Required Skills

Education

Higher National Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent MQF Level 5 qualification

Experience

  • 5 years of work experience in a similar facilities or maintenance role (considered an asset)
  • Professional experience in supervising teams and contractors
  • Professional experience in planning and executing projects
  • Professional experience in mechanical/electrical/electronics work and system monitoring
  • Professional experience in troubleshooting and training technicians

Languages

English (Basic)
