Job Summary
As a Service Desk Engineer, you will be a key part of the IT Operations Service Desk Team, supporting the operation, management, and expansion of IT systems for a fast-growing instant delivery service. Your day-to-day will involve providing 1st-level support for hardware and software, monitoring IT infrastructure, and acting as a central point of contact for recurring issues, collaborating closely with software development and IT Operations teams. You will contribute to a high degree of automation, engage with cloud topics, and promote a self-service and collaboration culture, while ensuring compliance with IT security, performance, data availability, and backup policies. This role offers the chance to work hands-on with systems and platforms in an agile environment, making it ideal for someone with a strong sense of responsibility and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in IT support or a related field
- Experience with 1st-level IT support
- Experience in monitoring IT infrastructure
- Readiness to be on-call occasionally as part of a rotating schedule
