Job Summary
This role involves leading and developing the grant funding department for the City of Duisburg, focusing on securing and managing funding from the EU, federal, and state levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and preparing grant program information, advising city departments on applications, and developing an IT-based grant monitoring and reporting system. The position also entails building and moderating inter-municipal and internal networks for knowledge exchange, engaging with ministries and supervisory authorities, and creating position papers on funding programs. Required Skills
Education
Master's or University Diploma in Economics, Law, Administrative Sciences (with EU relevance), European Studies, European Integration, Political Science, or Political Studies; or Civil Service Qualification for higher general non-technical administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, zweites Einstiegsamt).
Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience after acquiring the required qualification (for civil servants and employees)
- Several years of professional experience and proven knowledge in consulting and managing EU projects (advantageous)
- Experience in project and network management in innovation processes
- Basic knowledge and experience with municipal administrative processes, political frameworks of the EU, federal, state, and municipal governments (desirable)
