Job Summary

Join Siemens Mobility's 'Expert House' as a Commissioning Engineer, contributing to national and international railway technology projects, including new generations of battery and hydrogen-powered trains. In this role, you will independently perform commissioning, preventive, and corrective maintenance on rail vehicle components and systems. Your responsibilities will also include electrical and mechanical modifications, adaptations, and subsequent recommissioning of trains. You'll assist with fault analysis and troubleshooting, supported by innovative IT systems, and receive comprehensive training to become an expert in the future-oriented railway industry. This position offers diverse development opportunities within Siemens Mobility, both personally and professionally, as you work across various company areas. You'll primarily be deployed at railway depots globally, partner workshops, or the Wildenrath test center, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys travel and hands-on technical work in a dynamic international environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in an electrotechnical field or a certified technician (state-certified) qualification in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics

Experience

  • Long-term relevant experience in the electrotechnical field
  • Professional experience with rail vehicle components and systems
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical modification work
  • Experience with fault analysis and troubleshooting
