Job Summary

This role is for an Electrical Engineer to join the Federal Construction division of the Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb NRW (BLB NRW) in Bielefeld. You will be a key member of an interdisciplinary project team, providing electrical engineering expertise for diverse federal construction projects, including military bases, police facilities, and educational institutions. Day-to-day, you'll contribute to feasibility studies, design documentation, planning, procurement, and billing of construction services. A significant part of the role involves managing and quality-checking external engineering firms and contractors. This is an exciting opportunity to work on unique, large-scale projects and contribute to the federal government's goal of climate neutrality by 2045, shaping a sustainable real estate portfolio.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, or a comparable field; OR successfully completed qualification as a state-certified technician or master in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in planning and realizing electrical systems in building construction projects, either as a planning engineer or client representative
  • Professional experience in an engineering-like role (if qualifying as a technician/master)

Languages

German (Fluent)

  • Readiness and ability to drive a company car; willingness to undergo a security clearance (Ü1 to Ü3) according to the NRW Security Clearance Act.
