Job Summary

The City of Stuttgart is seeking a dedicated Commercial Transport Officer to be the central point of contact for all businesses, institutions, citizens, and city administration regarding commercial transport issues, especially city logistics. This role involves leading the Inner-City Logistics working group, developing and managing strategic plans for improving commercial transport, and overseeing the implementation of the City Logistics Concept. The successful candidate will also initiate and manage projects related to delivery traffic, last-mile concepts, and sustainable transport initiatives, including securing funding. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape urban mobility and contribute to climate protection efforts in a major economic hub, working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Traffic Planning, Transport Economics, Transport Logistics, Administrative Science, Urban Planning, Geography, or a comparable relevant field

Experience

  • Professional experience in mobility or logistics, preferably with municipalities, federal states, associations, or related research
  • Knowledge in project management
  • Knowledge in tender and funding procedures
