Job Summary
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous development of the Educational Portal (BiP) and its associated services for the Rhineland-Palatinate State Institute for Education. Your daily tasks will involve planning, controlling, and monitoring the portal's operations, evaluating new technologies in network infrastructure, cloud, and software, and leading project planning for integrating new services. This role requires a strong background in IT and project management, particularly with Linux servers, virtualization, and IDAM/SSO. You will collaborate closely with system administration, application support, and the BiP Product Owner, contributing significantly to the quality and advancement of educational IT services within the region. Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific degree in Computer Science
Experience
- Professional experience in Linux server administration and virtualization technologies
- Professional experience in project management and relevant tools (e.g., Scrum)
- Professional experience in IDAM and SSO
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT and database techniques, network infrastructure, system architectures, application security, performance optimization, web technologies, and user ergonomics
