Research Associate / PhD Student (Physics) - Microclimatic Effects in Urban Air Mobility | Physiker (m/w/d)
Technische Universität Dresden
Job Summary
The TUD Dresden University of Technology is seeking a Research Associate/PhD Student to join the DFG-funded Research Training Group "AirMetro." This interdisciplinary group focuses on the technological and operational integration of highly automated air transport in urban areas. The successful candidate will conduct research on microclimatic effects, specifically modeling natural frequencies of UAVs and performing microclimatic and turbulence simulations in urban environments. The role involves formulating weather- and turbulence-related limit values for UAV operations and comparing them with verifiable data. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in Advanced Air Mobility, collaborate with an international team, and pursue a PhD within a structured program, addressing critical technical and social challenges for future urban air transport.
