Job Summary
Join the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) as the Head of the Finance Department, contributing to making work safer and healthier. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Finance department, overseeing core accounting, payment transactions, liquidity management, capital investments, tax matters, annual financial statements, and budget planning. You will be responsible for work organization, staff deployment, occupational health and safety, and the conceptual and strategic development of the department's work content. This position involves acting as a key contact for accident insurance providers, supervisory authorities, auditors, and tax advisors, as well as organizing and leading DGUV committees with policy relevance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive leadership experience, strong financial expertise, and a commitment to public service.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master or Diploma) in Economics or Administrative Sciences, alternatively qualification for the higher non-technical civil service
Experience
- Many years of leadership experience in larger organizational units with multiple departments
- Extensive professional experience in budget planning, accounting, and asset management
- Professional experience in process management
- Professional experience in social security or public administration
