Job Summary
This role involves contributing significantly to public health protection by ensuring the implementation of the Ordinance on Non-Ionizing Radiation and Sound (V-NISSG), particularly concerning cosmetic treatments. The Scientific Collaborator will act as the primary contact point for testing bodies that issue competency certificates for these cosmetic treatments. Key responsibilities include executing the Federal Office of Public Health's (BAG) UV program, responding to inquiries from specialized agencies, associations, the public, and media, and providing relevant technical information. The ideal candidate holds a university degree, preferably in medical or natural sciences, possesses strong technical understanding, and excels at organization and independent work within a dynamic regulatory environment. Collaboration with cantonal enforcement authorities and federal offices, alongside maintaining relationships with professional associations and industry stakeholders, is crucial. This position offers meaningful work dedicated to the health of the Swiss population.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Hochschulstudium), preferably in medical or natural sciences
Experience
- Professional experience in implementing regulatory ordinances, specifically V-NISSG
- Experience collaborating with cantonal enforcement authorities and federal offices
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships (professional associations, testing bodies)
- Knowledge of the Swiss educational landscape is advantageous
