Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the quality of newly manufactured and revised components for industrial steam turbines and generators at the Mülheim Service Center. The Component Inspector will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and documenting various component tests to assess their current condition, determine revision needs, and ensure product conformity during manufacturing, repair, and final inspection. This includes geometric measurements, non-destructive testing, and the use of advanced measuring systems. The position requires making critical decisions regarding component release or blocking, identifying and documenting deviations using SAP, and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, extensive experience in quality assurance for rotating machinery, and relevant certifications in non-destructive testing.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational/technical training, ideally as a Material Tester. Technician training is an advantage. Valid NDT certification (at least Level 2 in VT, MT, and PT).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in operational quality assurance within turbomachinery/steam turbine technology
  • Long-term experience in quality assurance or material testing for rotating machinery

  • Occasional assignments as a quality inspector outside the plant to support Field Service in Germany or neighboring countries may occur after individual agreement.
