Job Summary
This role is for an experienced IT professional to lead and build a team of up to 10 employees within the Container Technology division at Germany's largest pension insurance provider. The successful candidate will actively shape the team's tasks in container operations, support change processes, and represent the department in various working groups. Key responsibilities include operating container platforms from development to production, advising developers, and contributing to strategic planning. This position offers a challenging environment within a complex IT system landscape, focusing on providing stable, reliable, and highly available container platforms (OpenShift, Rancher) for specialist applications, ensuring high service levels. It's an opportunity to apply leadership skills and contribute to critical IT infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in IT or comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification) OR completed vocational training in IT or comparable multi-year practical experience in IT
Experience
- Professional experience in IT, specifically in container virtualization environments
- In-depth knowledge of planning and providing infrastructure components, ideally in container technology (OpenShift, Rancher)
- Practical experience with terminals and orchestrating complex container environments (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman)
- Initial experience in technical and/or disciplinary leadership of teams or project groups, including on-call duty
