Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of test benches and associated plant technology within a research and development environment. The Test Bench Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechatronic systems, including PLC and contactor controls. Key tasks include identifying and resolving malfunctions, implementing modifications and optimizations to address weaknesses, and meticulously documenting all changes, conversions, and maintenance activities, potentially using tools like EPLAN. The ideal candidate will also perform mechanical tasks while strictly adhering to safety regulations, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of critical testing infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Industrial Electrician, Industrial Mechatronics Technician, or comparable qualification; Qualified Electrician for systems up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of test benches and plant technology
  • Experience in localizing, analyzing, and rectifying faults in electrical and mechatronic systems
  • Experience with modifications and optimizations for weakness elimination
  • Experience in documenting changes and maintenance activities
