Job Summary

This Research Associate position at the University of Bremen focuses on the KASIMOFF-3 project, investigating phase change processes of hydrogen in variable accelerations for future spacecraft. The role involves the development and operation of a cryogenic test facility for ground and drop tower experiments, accompanied by numerical simulations and theoretical analyses. Additionally, the associate will contribute to the ongoing development of a cryogenic experiment for a sounding rocket in collaboration with industrial and project partners. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team, contribute to a highly current research field, engage in national and international collaborations, and gain specialized knowledge in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics related to cryogenic systems.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Engineering, Physics, or Technical Mathematics with a very good grade.

Experience

  • Professional experience in engineering, physics, or technical mathematics
  • Basic technical understanding
  • Ability to work independently in a small team
  • First experiences with CFD tools (desirable)
