Job Summary

This Civil Engineer role, based at the State Water Management Office in Karlsruhe, focuses on implementing construction measures for the Integrated Rhine Program, specifically for the Bellenkopf/Rappenwört retention area. Day-to-day, the engineer will act as the client representative during planning and construction phases, selecting and coordinating private engineering firms and construction companies, and ensuring alignment with all project stakeholders. A key aspect of the role involves representing projects publicly. This position offers the opportunity to work on varied and responsible tasks within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to significant flood protection and water ecology projects, with flexible working hours and mobile work options.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom or Master's) in Civil Engineering or a comparable field. Master's degrees from universities of applied sciences must be accredited for public administration higher service. Foreign degrees require evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education.

Experience

  • Experience in planning and implementing construction projects is an advantage
  • Professional experience in water engineering, water management, technical flood protection, water law, and nature conservation is an advantage
