Join the University of Bayreuth's Animal Ecology I department as a Technical Assistant, supporting cutting-edge ecological research, particularly in microplastic analysis. This role involves the daily care of sensitive organisms, algae cultivation, and media control, alongside assisting the team and students with various laboratory and field tasks. You'll be instrumental in preparing environmental samples for microplastic analysis, characterizing microplastics using µFTIR and ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, and working with imaging techniques for digital image analysis.
