Job Summary
This Postdoctoral Researcher position focuses on the economic assessment of innovative, grassland-based livestock farming systems within two SNF-funded research projects (AgroForageTree and PeaMaps). The core responsibility involves developing concepts and tools for the economic evaluation of novel agroforestry systems, specifically analyzing the profitability of integrating fodder trees into permanent grassland compared to conventional systems. This includes conducting data collection on seven farms in Western Switzerland, performing full-cost accounting, and running sensitivity analyses to assess uncertainty. The role requires a PhD in Agricultural Economics with strong knowledge of animal husbandry and proven experience working with farm-level economic data. Successful candidates must be cooperative, able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, and committed to publishing research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
