Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Electrical Engineering faculty at the HTWD (University of Applied Sciences Dresden) as a Laboratory Engineer. You will be instrumental in developing, organizing, conducting, and evaluating practical lab sessions, taking primary responsibility for labs in Electrical Power Supply and Electric Railways. Key tasks include designing, implementing, and maintaining experimental setups, contributing to research projects, and assisting students with their project and thesis work by providing technical lab support. The position requires a proactive, independent, and communicative individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and a passion for fostering student learning in a dynamic academic environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience in the planning, modeling, setup, and commissioning of energy supply systems, electric drive systems, and regenerative energy converters
- Experience in developing, organizing, conducting, and evaluating practical lab sessions
- Experience in supporting research projects and student theses with lab tasks
- Pedagogical skills in interacting with students
