Job Summary
The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching is seeking two certified technicians to contribute to research tasks within the Tokamak Scenario Development (E1) department. This role involves operating, monitoring, maintaining, and expanding complex cryopump systems, as well as conventional cooling and heating systems for the ASDEX Upgrade fusion experiment. The successful candidates will configure and operate these systems in consultation with scientists, optimize their performance, and participate in continuous development and renewal efforts. Required Skills
Education
Certified Technician (state-approved) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics
Experience
- Professional experience in operating, monitoring, maintenance, and expansion of cryo or cooling/heating systems
- Professional experience working with experimental facilities
