Job Summary
This role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure for federal waterways in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent planning and execution of procurement processes for the technical operating network, specifically within plant technology. Key tasks include creating concepts and guidelines, conducting system analyses, and implementing IT security concepts for plant technology within the communication network. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering, particularly in energy technology, process automation, information and communication technology, or automation technology. The role offers the opportunity to work in a large federal agency, contributing to essential public services, and is based in Nuremberg with potential for travel.

Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering (with specialization in Energy Technology and Process Automation, Information and Communication Technology, Automation Technology, or Plant-focused Informatics)
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering
- Experience in independently managing technical projects
- Knowledge of procurement processes (VgV, UVgO)

Additional
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for business, primarily within the Main, Main-Danube Canal, and Danube regions. The position is based in 90402 Nuremberg. The role is offered as a combination of an indefinite part-time position (19.5 hours/week) and an additional fixed-term part-time position for 4 years (19 hours/week).
