Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Data Center Operations Manager responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous development of the organization's data centers and their associated infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include managing rackspace, PDUs, and network infrastructure, particularly switches, while meticulously documenting all technical information using CMDB systems. The ideal candidate will also contribute to emergency management planning, coordinate with external service providers, and advise leadership on strategic data center issues. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diplom/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; OR completed vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Management Assistant, IT Systems Electronics Technician) or comparable long-term professional experience in the specified areas.

Experience

  • Several years of experience in the operation, support, and development of data centers and associated infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge in managing rackspace capacities, PDUs, and network infrastructure, especially with switches
  • Proficient use of documentation and CMDB systems (e.g., i-doit, NetBox)
  • Skilled application of tools for monitoring, management, and network troubleshooting in a LAN environment
  • Basic knowledge in emergency management and experience in planning and documenting recovery processes
  • Professional experience in advising leadership on strategic and infrastructural questions related to data center operations
