Job Summary
This role is for a Geo-Data Manager with project leadership experience, focusing on optimizing data streams for digital work processes, database-supported research documentation, and web-based visualization of research results. The successful candidate will analyze requirements, develop conceptual processes for the Geodata Infrastructure (GDI), and implement solutions using ESRI and Oracle products. Key responsibilities include data preparation for long-term use, application commissioning, and integrating various organizational and technical levels. The position demands a blend of technical expertise in GIS and database management, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team, contributing to the protection and development of an internationally recognized nature reserve.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (or equivalent, e.g., University of Applied Sciences) in Geoinformatics, Digital Data Management, Geography, or a comparable field with relevant qualifications
Experience
- Practical experience in IT project management of GDI-based applications
- Practical experience in integrating long-term data management requirements, ideally in research or nature conservation
- Practical experience in developing apps with the ESRI product palette
- Practical experience in integrating Enterprise Geodatabases into an ESRI portal environment
- Practical experience in bridging interfaces between intranet and internet-based environments
