Job Summary

This role involves hands-on laboratory work focusing on human induced pluripotent stem cells (hIPSCs) and their differentiation into high-quality cardiomyocytes for disease modeling. The Senior Scientist will be responsible for cultivating, expanding, and genetically editing hIPSCs, as well as performing disease modeling in 2D and 3D in-vitro systems using technologies like FlexCyte, Maestro, and DiNAQUBE. Key responsibilities also include molecular characterization via High-Content Screening, supporting laboratory process automation, data analysis, and presenting findings to interdisciplinary teams. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical research in a leading pharmaceutical company, working with advanced technologies and sharing expertise within a collaborative, international environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioengineering) with several years of professional experience, or a PhD in one of these fields.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a professional laboratory environment (Life-Science industry, Pharma, Biotech, or strong academic background)
  • Proven experience in handling hIPSC cells
  • Expertise in handling cardiomyocytes
  • Experience with microscopy or High-Content Screening technologies
  • Experience in functional characterization of cardiomyocytes (e.g., contraction measurements) is a plus
  • Experience with miniaturized assays (384-well plates) and laboratory automation is a plus
