Job Summary

This role offers two PhD studentships within the STEM-CORE training network, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) funded project focused on developing stem cell therapies for corneal epithelium regeneration. Commencing in January 2026 for three years, the positions involve comprehensive training in ocular stem cell science, preparing the next generation of biomedical scientists. Day-to-day tasks include contributing to research aimed at generating and characterizing robust human induced limbal stem cells to treat corneal blindness. The ideal candidate will possess strong motivation, critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, holding a Master’s degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Neuroscience, or a related field.
