This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated doctoral researcher to join the Molecular Cell Physiology department at the Institute for Physiology and Pathophysiology. The successful candidate will engage in a cutting-edge research project focused on analyzing the function of the SRF signaling pathway in epithelial homeostasis and tumor development, specifically within an ovarian carcinoma model using Drosophila fruit flies. Day-to-day tasks will involve conducting Drosophila genetics experiments, utilizing modern biochemical and cell biological methods, analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing data from tumor cells, performing high-resolution confocal light microscopy, and carrying out molecular biological work to characterize mRNA and protein expression in tissues.
