Job Summary

This position offers a highly motivated scientist the opportunity to pursue a PhD within a research team focused on innate immune response and epidermal wound healing using the genetic model organism Drosophila. The role involves applying experimental strategies from Drosophila genetics, modern biochemical and cell biology methods, and high-resolution imaging techniques (SDM, SIM, CLSM, Light-Sheet Microscopy) to unravel conserved mechanisms of interaction between epithelial cells and infiltrating immune cells. Candidates should possess a scientific university degree in biology, molecular medicine, biochemistry, or a comparable field, along with exceptional motivation for independent scientific work and strong teamwork skills. The position provides access to state-of-the-art facilities and an excellent research infrastructure, fostering optimal scientific development in a highly relevant research area.
