Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Civil Engineer to support the municipality of Kreuztal in managing its extensive 250 km sewer network. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, planning, tendering, construction supervision, billing, and acceptance of wastewater projects, including special structures like storm overflow basins. Key duties also include operational management of the municipal sewer network and handling conceptual and regulatory matters in accordance with relevant water laws. The role is initially temporary until November 2026, with an aim for continued employment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master/Diplom-Ingenieur) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Civil Engineering, Wastewater Management, Traffic Engineering, or Water Management
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering, water management, traffic engineering, or wastewater management
- Experience in coordinating, planning, tendering, construction supervision, billing, and acceptance of wastewater projects
- Experience in operational management of canal networks
- Experience with conceptual and regulatory affairs (WRRL, WHG, LWG, AbwAG NRW)
