Job Summary
As a Release Manager, you will take full responsibility for delivering releases within the energy industry's application landscape. This involves organizing and ensuring up-to-date test environments, creating timelines, setting milestones, and coordinating Go-Live activities, including deployment plans in close collaboration with IT teams and external service providers. You will ensure the completeness of releases regarding documentation, error-free functionality, scope, and approval procedures, conducting readiness reviews and finalization. A key aspect of the role is identifying, managing, and communicating risks affecting release scope, timeline, and quality in production, alongside continuously improving release processes. This position requires strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to driving digital transformation.
Required Skills
Education
Master's or Diploma degree in a technically related discipline, or a completed specialized vocational training with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in a relevant field (if no Master's or Diploma degree)
- Knowledge of Release Management methods and tools
- Understanding of software development processes and cycles
- Project management skills for coordinating release activities
- Experience in quality control and test management
- Technical understanding of software architecture and integration
