Job Summary
This leadership role at the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Rhein-Ruhr-Wupper (CVUA-RRW) involves the strategic and operational management of the "Consulting & Evaluation" business unit, overseeing 50 employees across four departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and evaluation of approximately 30,000 food samples and will provide expert opinions to food surveillance authorities. Key responsibilities include strategic sample planning, maintaining quality management systems (ISO17025:2018), and representing the unit at relevant events. This position requires a qualified veterinarian or food chemist with proven leadership experience and strong communication skills to collaborate with various authorities and contribute to public health consumer protection.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Veterinary Medicine (with license to practice as a veterinarian) OR University degree in Food Chemistry (with qualification as a State-Certified Food Chemist)
Experience
- At least four years in leading and motivating employees, ideally in multi-level leadership hierarchies
- Professional expertise in food surveillance or a consumer protection authority with experience in implementing enforcement measures (desirable)
- Experience in communication during crises and collaboration between different authorities (federal, state, municipal) (desirable)
