Job Summary
This role involves working within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department of the Federal Police Directorate Berlin, focusing on equipping the directorate with essential police operational resources. Day-to-day, you will manage IT hardware, radio, and video technology, advise superiors on technical capabilities, and support users. Responsibilities include liaising with workshops, determining needs, ordering and distributing materials, and creating budget plans. You will also contribute to IT security concepts, network plans, inventories, and participate in expert meetings, maintaining an overview of stock using a material management program. Your expertise will be crucial in advising planners for new and renovated service facilities. This unique position offers the opportunity to be trained and employed as a police officer, potentially involving night/weekend shifts during special operations, while typically working Monday to Friday.

Education
Successfully completed vocational training with an electro-technical focus/specialization in information technology
Experience
- At least 18 months of relevant professional experience in the described task area
- Professional experience in an electro-technical field or with an IT focus

- German, EU/EEA citizenship; Must not have completed 28th year of age on date of employment (or up to 36th year with minimum three years of professional experience); Commitment to the democratic constitutional order of Germany; No criminal record; Stable financial situation; Physically fit for police service (to be determined by sports test and medical examination); Willingness to work night/weekend shifts for special operational occasions.
