Job Summary
The Hochsauerlandkreis, a large district in North Rhine-Westphalia, is seeking a dedicated Tax Expert to join its Financial Management department in Meschede. This part-time, permanent position (19.5 hours/week) is crucial for ensuring the district's compliance with tax regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing Section 2b of the German Turnover Tax Act, developing the existing Tax Compliance Management system, and preparing turnover tax pre-declarations and annual statements. This role involves continuous research into tax laws relevant to public legal entities, providing expert advice to colleagues on tax issues, and managing other fundamental tax matters while collaborating with external tax consultants. Required Skills
Education
• Diploma in Public Administration (FH) or comparable Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Laws) • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on tax theory • Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) or Certified Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt)
Experience
- Professional experience in tax law, ideally several years
- Readiness for continuous professional development in the taxation of public legal entities
