Job Summary

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be instrumental in evolving Zalando's transport network and planning systems, which are critical for handling over 185 million orders annually. This role involves defining and managing next-generation engineering infrastructure, including data ETL pipelines and deep learning model pipelines. You'll work within a skilled team of data and ML engineers to tackle complex challenges like network design optimization, dynamic slot and carrier recommendations, and disruption management simulations. The position requires deploying ML models to production, designing and maintaining ML models and data pipelines using a cloud-based tech stack (SageMaker, Databricks, AirFlow), and implementing best practices in software engineering for Python codebases.
