Job Summary

As an IT Service Manager at the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL), you will play a crucial role in modernizing public health services in Bavaria. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading IT Service Management projects, ensuring the seamless integration of ticketing systems, and continuously developing IT service processes. You will manage and optimize collaboration with external IT service providers for first, second, and third-level support, and oversee incident, problem, and change management. This role also supports the migration of IT infrastructures, such as moving from on-premises to cloud solutions. You'll work closely with various departments, senior IT management, and project leads, contributing to evidence-based public health, efficient administrative structures, and digital data transmission for health protection. This position offers a meaningful alternative to typical project work, allowing you to apply and expand your expertise in a multidisciplinary team environment, tackling new challenges with innovative technologies.

Required Skills

Education

Completed (technical) university degree (Bachelor) or vocational training in IT/Informatics

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience (desirably 10 years) in IT, software development, and data management OR long-term experience as an IT Service Manager
  • Professional experience in Service Delivery Management
  • Professional experience in Cross-Functional Service Delivery Support
  • Professional experience in IT Service Desk and IT Infrastructure Support
  • ITIL V3 Expert certification
  • Experience in the public sector and/or healthcare is advantageous
  • Prior experience in public health service or as a consultant in the healthcare sector/digital transformation projects is advantageous
