Job Summary

This role involves supporting police investigations by managing DNA patterns within a central database and evaluating identified matches. Key responsibilities include the technical and legal review of DNA data for inclusion in the federal and state DNA analysis files, processing matches (person-person, person-trace, trace-trace) and providing feedback to investigative units. The officer will also assess data quality, exchange information with investigative agencies, generate statistics for federal evaluation, and monitor data for compliance with data protection regulations. Required Skills

Education

• State-recognized Technical Assistant (biological, chemical, or pharmaceutical-technical) or • Certified Medical-Technical Laboratory Assistant or • Certified Laboratory Technician with equivalent skills and experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in the specified field (desirable)
  • Experience in supporting police enforcement activities

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to participate in business trips (up to twice annually)
  • Willingness to undergo internal training for police law and specific job-related knowledge
  • Criminal record check required upon intent to hire
  • Foreign qualifications require recognition/equivalence certificate and certified translation
