Job Summary
This role involves conducting research and development in geoinformatics, specifically focusing on practical solutions for legally mandated distance regulations in plant protection and fertilization. The specialist will develop and implement scalable IT methods for geodata processing and management, including creating requirement analyses for the Production Material Application Manager (PAM) in collaboration with federal states. Key responsibilities also include scientific analysis of satellite and drone data, building WebGIS viewers, and developing REST services and backend functionalities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a critical agricultural project, working with cutting-edge geoinformation systems and a dedicated team, with the potential for contract extension.
Required Skills
Education
Master of Science (M. Sc.) or Diploma in Geoinformatics or Geosciences with an IT focus
Experience
- Professional experience in geodata processing, transformation, provision, and integration using QGIS/ArcGIS Pro
- Professional experience in managing common database systems with geodata extensions
- Professional experience with WebGIS applications for geodata visualization
- Willingness to learn new topics and technologies (e.g., plant protection, drone surveying, measurement and sensor technology)
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams
