Job Summary

This role involves ensuring environmental protection and compliance with water regulations within the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district. The specialist will be responsible for drafting water law opinions, particularly for construction and environmental impact assessment procedures. A key part of the job includes processing and reviewing notifications from plant operators regarding their handling of water-polluting substances. The position also focuses on preventing water damage by responding to incidents, ordering protective measures, and enforcing regulations. Regular inspections of facilities handling hazardous substances, in accordance with accident prevention regulations and EU industrial emissions directives, are also a core duty. Required Skills

Education

University or technical college degree in Environmental Technology, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Water Management, or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Hydraulic Engineering/Water Management, or a comparable relevant degree.

Experience

  • Professional experience in environmental technology, environmental engineering, process engineering, water management, or civil engineering with specialization in hydraulic engineering/water management
  • Experience with relevant environmental laws and regulations
