Job Summary

This role involves shaping the future of secure communication systems and digital forensics at Hochschule Niederrhein. As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching Bachelor's and Master's courses, particularly in the new digital forensics program, and driving application-oriented research and development. You will collaborate with regional IT security stakeholders, contribute to scientific continuing education, and engage in knowledge transfer. The position requires a strong background in IT security, secure digital system development, and software analysis, with a focus on practical application. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with a relevant doctorate. Habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements are also considered.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT security or the development and operation of secure digital systems
  • Extensive experience in software development and analysis (e.g., for security-oriented environments)
  • Practical experience in application-oriented IT projects outside academia in this field
  • 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years outside the higher education sector (or equivalent additional scientific achievements)
