Job Summary
This role is for a highly skilled scientist to contribute to cutting-edge research involving ultrafast pump-probe lasers at the FLASH facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their expert knowledge in ultrafast laser technology, nonlinear optics, and pulse diagnostics to advance scientific projects. They will be an integral part of an international, interdisciplinary team, collaborating effectively and communicating their findings in English. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic research environment, potentially leveraging experience with laser control systems and programming within a large-scale research facility to drive innovative scientific discoveries.
Required Skills
Education
Ph.D. degree in physics, electrical engineering or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Proven scientific track record in ultrafast optics
- Professional experience in an international, interdisciplinary team
- Professional experience in a dynamic research environment
- Experience with laser control systems (advantageous)
- Experience with programming (advantageous)
- Experience working in large-scale research facilities (advantageous)
