Job Summary

The University of Potsdam is seeking an Academic Staff Member for a 7-month parental leave replacement, focusing on Public Sector, Finance, and Social Policy. This role involves significant academic work, including independent research towards a doctoral degree in areas such as urban and regional economics, public finance, or political economy. The successful candidate will also be responsible for independently designing, planning, conducting, and evaluating courses, as well as supervising student theses and providing guidance in seminars. Experience

Additional

  • The position is a fixed-term contract for 7 months as a parental leave replacement. The first 5 months are full-time (40 hours/week), and the last two months are part-time (20 hours/week). Eligibility for fixed-term contract under § 14 Abs. 3 Teilzeit- und Befristungsgesetz (TzBfG) is required. Applicants with university degrees from outside the EU must submit a German translation and an evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) or a PDF extract from the ANABIN database.
