Job Summary
This role is for an Embedded Developer passionate about smart sensor technologies, focusing on optical distance sensors for high-precision industrial applications. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing sensor systems from concept to series integration, with a strong emphasis on embedded software in C/C++ and FPGA programming using VHDL/Verilog. Day-to-day tasks include developing real-time algorithms for signal processing and data acquisition, advising on system architecture, and validating prototypes. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field
Experience
- Professional experience in embedded development with C/C++ for microcontrollers and hardware-near applications
- Knowledge in FPGA development with VHDL and/or Verilog (Lattice FPGAs like iCE40 or Intel FPGAs like Cyclone are a plus)
- Knowledge in digital circuit technology, including typical interfaces and architectures
- Experience with industrial interfaces like IO-Link, Industrial Ethernet (PROFINET, EtherCAT), and TCP/IP communication on embedded systems is beneficial
