Job Summary
The City of Frankfurt is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join its Cultural Office, responsible for the administrative affairs of eight municipal museums and the Institute for Urban History. This role is crucial for managing the budget, annual financial statements, and various accounting tasks. The successful candidate will handle domestic and international travel expense reports, coordinate and process fixed asset accounting, manage refunds and grant payments, process incoming invoices, and verify booking characteristics. They will also be involved in financial projects and budget preparation. Required Skills
Education
Qualification for the middle general administrative service or completed administrative or commercial training
Experience
- Several years of professional experience, particularly in accounts payable
- Good knowledge of budgetary law and double-entry bookkeeping
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting
- Knowledge of Hessian Travel Expense Law, Hessian Foreign Travel Expense Ordinance, and tax law (e.g., VAT Act)
- Practical experience with accounting software and SAP
