Job Summary

This IT Architect role involves shaping a future-proof and economical IT landscape for the German Pension Insurance's joint data center in Berlin and Würzburg. Day-to-day, you'll contribute to developing architecture standards, processes, and goals, and play a key part in evolving the overarching information system, technology, and operational architecture. You will also lead working groups and participate in project teams, ensuring the quality of the service catalog. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT architecture, encompassing server, network, storage, virtualization, and security concepts, along with experience in project team coordination. This position offers the opportunity to drive the modernization of critical IT infrastructures and transition to cutting-edge technologies.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom-FH, Bachelor or equivalent), or equivalent qualification (e.g., IT specialist), or completed vocational training in IT with relevant professional experience

Experience

  • Several years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in the IT environment (ideally in server, networks, storage, data backup, infrastructure concepts, virtualization, container technology, DevSecOps)
  • Professional experience in IT architecture, methodologies, technologies, standards, and products
  • Current knowledge of relevant market products or services and control instruments due to professional experience
  • Initial experience in coordinating project teams
