Job Summary

This role involves developing and maintaining software within the field of Geoinformatics for the District Government of Cologne, a key regional authority in North Rhine-Westphalia. The successful candidate will contribute to the Amtliches Topographisch-Kartographisches Informationssystem (ATKIS) and participate in cross-state development work for basemap.de. Day-to-day tasks include conceptualizing, developing, adapting, and re-engineering applications to support and advance work processes and production methods, as well as evaluating IT trends in geodata processing. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diplom University/FH/TH) in Geodesy/Surveying, Geoinformatics/Geomatics, Computer Science, Cartography, or Geography (with proven focus on Geoinformatics); OR a relevant university degree in a natural or geoscientific field with in-depth knowledge of Geoinformatics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development within Geoinformation (if no university degree)
  • At least two years of professional experience (if no university degree)
  • At least three years of relevant practical experience in a role corresponding to the university degree and specified focus areas (for EG 12 classification)
