Job Summary

This System Administrator role is a full-time, permanent position within the Döbern-Land municipal administration, focusing on the planning, development, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for system administration tasks including server management, software deployment, network workstation support, data security, and internet access. Key responsibilities also involve procurement of hardware/software, user support for specialized applications, and active participation in administrative digitalization and cloud solution implementation. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with strong Windows Server and network administration skills, seeking to contribute to public sector digitalization initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or comparable IT-related training (e.g., IT Specialist for Application Development, IT System Electronics Technician) or Commercial training with relevant professional experience as a System Administrator.

Experience

  • Multiple years of professional experience as a System Administrator
  • Experience in system and network administration in a Windows Server environment
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies (Acronis software)
  • Experience with installation, administration, and monitoring of Microsoft Servers in a virtual environment (Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Office 365/Azure/Entra)
  • Experience with SQL Server and SQL database administration
  • Experience in supporting specialized applications (e.g., ARCHIKART, H&H proDOPPIK)
  • Experience with software management solutions (Baramundi)
  • Basic knowledge of work organization and processes in public administration is advantageous

Additional

  • Driving license Class B required. High level of commitment and resilience. Must be eligible to work in Germany. C1 German language certificate required if not a native speaker.
