Job Summary
This PhD position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in MRI of inflammation and cancer within an interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will focus on developing and applying quantitative MRI approaches, combining computer simulations with experimental MR data and mass spectrometric imaging. Day-to-day tasks include performing computer simulations of MRI contrast, labeling and tracking immune cells in cell culture and murine models, and collecting, analyzing, and annotating MRI data. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a background in Physics, Computer Science, or Biomedical Imaging, strong programming skills, and a keen interest in magnetic resonance and computational analysis. The project is part of a Collaborative Research Centre, offering participation in a graduate school and opportunities to present findings at international conferences.
Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Biomedical Imaging, or a related field
Experience
- Previous experience with quantitative MRI is beneficial
- Previous experience with contrast agents is beneficial
- Previous experience with cell tracking/labelling is beneficial
- Motivation for scientific work
- Willingness to contribute to an interdisciplinary team
