Job Summary

This role is for a Chemical Laboratory Technician responsible for conducting a variety of physical and chemical tests. Day-to-day tasks include performing optical inspections for defects, determining the refractive index distribution of preforms using a profiler, and measuring fiber attenuation with IR/UV damping measurement devices. The technician will also be responsible for accurately recording, evaluating, and documenting measurement data, as well as providing feedback within SAP. The ideal candidate will have a background as a physics or chemical laboratory technician, or equivalent experience, coupled with practical experience in an industrial setting. Strong analytical skills, proficiency with computer-aided systems, and good communication skills in German are essential for success in this position.
