Job Summary

This role involves planning, organizing, and executing critical groundwater sampling and analysis tasks, utilizing advanced computer-controlled systems and modern sampling techniques. You will be responsible for operating and developing a state-of-the-art measurement vehicle, deploying specialized systems for water, gas, or isotope analytics, and conducting on-site measurements. A key aspect of the position is ensuring the quality of collected data, meticulous documentation, and reporting, as well as transferring data into database systems. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental monitoring and present sampling techniques at training events, requiring a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and a willingness to travel for fieldwork.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a chemical-technical, physical-technical, agricultural-technical assistant, or as a chemical laboratory technician, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in groundwater or soil sampling and/or chemical water or soil analysis using modern analytical systems
  • In-depth knowledge of groundwater sampling techniques/procedures and/or water/soil chemical analysis with modern analytical methods
  • Experience in chemical quality assurance (desirable)
  • Experience with computer-controlled groundwater sampling systems (desirable)

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Physical ability to wear respiratory masks (Group 2, 5 days per year) and occasionally lift/carry loads up to 25 kg in the field
  • Willingness to undertake single and multi-day business trips (approx. 100-150 days per year)
  • Class B driving license
  • Willingness to obtain a C1E driving license
