Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Telecommunications/Information Technology Engineer at the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration's Office for Inland Traffic Technology (ABVT) in Koblenz, Germany. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the secure and available operation of critical information systems for inland navigation, including fiber optic networks (SDH; MPLS), radio communication networks (NIF; AIS; DGNSS), and various information services (NaMIB; EuRIS; SMGT). Day-to-day responsibilities involve evaluating system documentation, planning and developing information systems, coordinating maintenance and repair, managing spare parts, and leading technical discussions. The position also includes handling service agreements, conducting procurement processes, and providing technical support. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or FH Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications/Information Technology, or a comparable field. For foreign degrees, a comparability certificate from anabin is required.
