Job Summary
This role is for a highly engaged Research Scientist to join the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden e. V. (IPF) to work on the "RALPH" project, focusing on reactive-coated aluminum sheets in thermoplastic pultruded hybrid laminates for crash structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities, developing and validating scalable synthesis and modification strategies for polyester resins, and adapting powder coating formulations for metal-plastic composites. Key responsibilities also include analyzing the impact of formulation changes on reaction mechanisms and bond strength, collaborating with research partners on continuous hybrid pultrusion processes, and preparing reports and publications. This position offers a stimulating challenge within an international research environment, contributing to material science innovations in resource security, health, and information.

Experience
- Professional experience in organic-chemical and/or polymer synthesis
- Professional experience in polymer sciences
- Professional experience in physical-chemical and application-technological characterization of polymers/thermosets

- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
